Meredith Centre
The Basics
What is the Meredith Centre?
The Meredith Centre is a proposed multi-purpose community recreational and cultural centre that is named after Mrs. Elizabeth Meredith and her family, who donated 21 acres of land upon which the centre will be built.
Comprised of three components – community centre, multi-sports gymnasium and arena – this state-of-the art, environmentally-friendly facility will be surrounded by a landscaped park and natural wetland. A future hub for sports such as cross-country skiing, soccer, hockey and rugby, the centre will offer recreational and learning programs for young and old and provide exhibit space for local artists and performance space for theatre and special events.
The Meredith Centre will be located off Old Chelsea Road, adjacent to the soccer fields, Chelsea Elementary School, and the current Old Chelsea Market.

When will the Meredith Centre open?
Given the delay of the referendum, the municipality is in the process of confirming revised timelines with other levels of government. These will be posted as soon as they are announced.
